Brief Biography
AFI (A Fire Inside) is an American rock band. They were formerly a Punk Rock band but have lately incorperated other styles into their music. AFI was formed in 1991 by Davey Havok (vocals), Mark Stopholese (guitar), Vic Chalker (bass) and Adam Carson (drums) in Ukiah, California as a four-piece Punk Rock outfit. Bassist Vic lost interest and was replaced by Geoff Kresge. Kresge left AFI eventually becoming part of the band Tiger Army (now plays for The Horrorpops) and the spot was filled by Hunter Burgan. Eventually, guitarist Mark Stopholese was replaced by Jade Puget, who at the time was in the band Loose Change.

November 13th, 2007 will see the release of AFI's I Heard A Voice - Live From Long Beach Arena. This audio recording captures their live show at Long Beach, California in 2006.

Regarding the album's title, lead singer Davey Havok said, "Decemberunderground is a time and a place. It is where the cold can huddle together in darkness and isolation. It is a community of those detached and disillusioned who flee to love, like winter, in the recesses below the rest of the world."

This might not be believed by everyone, as a matter of fact, I didn't think that
anyone would believe me or anything I say. So I will just say it. Once, when I
was 6 years old, on June, 6th, I had a vision that I would find the perfect band
that I would always listen to when despair has filled my heart. I, alone think
that I have found this band...AFI. Now I am 11 years old. It may have taken me 5
years to find it, but it was definately worth it.

...actually AFI doesn't belong in any genre of music.
They are just their own sound.

I told my friend I was probably going to get an AFI tattoo and she said
