Crimson is a thirteen-song album that reached #25 on the US Billboard Charts. It was released on May 23rd, 2005 internationally and a day later in the United States on Vagrant Records and is produced by Jerry Finn. When the CD is inserted into a PC or Mac, the audio tracks do not appear, only a "making of" video called "Deep Red". The first single from the album is the opening track, "Time to Waste".
The Deluxe edition was released on the November 28th 2005. The first disc is the original album, while the added second disc is the whole album as demo's, home demo's and acoustic songs. It is presented in a color cover slipcase based on original artwork. The videos do not appear on the first pressing of the EU edition of the album, as well as a spelling error on the back of the case.

Good Mourning is a twelve-song album that reached #20 on the US Billboard Charts. It was released in 2003 on Vagrant Records and produced by Joe McGrath. Jerry Finn co-produced and mixed the album (Finn had previously worked with AFI, Green Day and Blink-182). The album picks up where From Here to Infirmary left off. Skiba has always said that the album did not flow well. After being released, Good Mourning received mediocre reviews (however, some say that this album didn't deserve the negative reviews, and recognize it as being an excellent album, if a departure from their previous sound, and arriving at a slightly more pop-punk style), and Skiba began binge-drinking once again. He then began to write for the next album, Crimson, only weeks after Good Mourning's release.

This third full-length studio album reached #199 on the US Billboard Charts.. The album was released in 2001 on Vagrant Records. The album featured the minor hits "Stupid Kid" and "Private Eye". It was the first time the group came close to mainstream success, and has a sound noticably more punk-pop than usual.

This is a ten-song album released on Asian Man Records in 2000.
It was also later re-released on Kung Fu Records in 2003 with additional bonus tracks. However, this release had been mastered from MP3s and so suffers from reduced sound quality and puts Kung Fu's regard for the release into question.

Goddamnit is a CD/LP released in 1998 on Asian Man Records. Goddamnit is Alkaline Trio's first full-length release.
Goddamnit was received well by the critics, though the bias of many reviewers is questionable as their reviews appeared after the band had broken through from the Chicago punk scene of the mid-90's.
Reviewers' claimed the catchy guitar hooks by Skiba, mixed with the dark, alcohol-drenched lyrics made the album stand out at the time, and still bare relevence to young people today.
