| Biography
Armor for Sleep is an alternative rock band from Maplewood and Teaneck, New Jersey. Lead singer Ben Jorgensen recorded the first ever Armor For Sleep songs in exchange for $100 at a nearby recording studio, playing all the instruments by himself, after leaving the band Random Task, in which he played drums. Ben and Anthony fired the drummer and guitarist of Random Task and asked Nash Breen, drummer of Prevent Falls, to join Armor For Sleep. Nash quit Prevent Falls and asked his cousin, P.J. DeCicco, also of Prevent Falls to come with him to Armor For Sleep.
The band was originally signed to Equal Vision Records and released their first two albums with them, but as of April 2006, Armor for Sleep are now signed to Warner Brothers/Sire Records. According to a recent post on the band's MySpace, their contract with EVR simply ran out and the band chose not to renew it.
A remix of their track "Remember to Feel Real" was featured on the "Snakes on a Plane: The Album" Soundtrack in August of 2006.
While appearing at the August 3rd Warped Tour, Armor For Sleep made mention of heading back to a studio in the fall to make their new album, so far unnamed.
The new album is to be expected for a late Spring/early Summer release.
In 2007, they will begin a North American tour, opening for Taking Back Sunday and Underoath.
