Biography

boysetsfire is a post-hardcore/emo/metalcore band from Delaware that formed in October 1994. boysetsfire is composed of guitarists Chad Istvan and Josh Latshaw, bassist Robert Ehrenbrand, drummer Matt Krupanski, and vocalist Nathan Gray. They released their first demo albums in late 1994 and early 1995. In 1996 they released their first EP, This Crying This Screaming, My Voice is Being Born. They have released records through Initial Records , Victory Records , Wind-Up Records and Equal Vision Records/Burning Heart Records. They have released split EPs with Coalesce, Shai Hulud, and Snapcase

They are generally known as one of the first bands to blend melodic singing and hardcore screaming.

boysetsfire are known for the intensity of their live dates and also the intensity of their political convictions.

In 2005 they signed to the independent record labels Burning Heart Records(World)/Equal Vision Records(North America) and released "The Misery Index: Notes From The Plague Years" in February 2006.
