Another Josh Update
This is from Josh's brother Jas...
"Hey all, I got to see Josh pick up his 2 year old son today and put him on his lap, it was pretty awesome. (He was in a wheelchair). He's really healing up. Unfortunately, he's been told lately that he will likely still be using a cane and in pain even in December. So that was a little depressing to him. . . but. . .
He's so thankful he's not completely paralyzed - he's surrounded by people who will be disabled for life. One of the new friends he has made drank too much at a party, got into a car. .. and next thing he knew, was in the hospital and is completely paralyzed. He also knows someone who was diabetic and had a small infection on his leg. Now 3 operations later, his leg is amputated up to his thigh.
So yeah, he's very thankful.
Couple of funny stories. Many of you know Josh and his great personality. Well the therapists love Josh too. And because of this, every one of them has signed Josh up for their sessions. So Josh was getting way too busy and exhausted and had to cancel on some of them.
Another story. The hospital heard that Josh was a musician, so they forced him to join the musical rehab class. A man who can only move one hand pounds on a drum while Josh plays the keyboard. He said he plays mostly Blues chords. Wow, if only we had video of that one.
Josh walked 205 feet with his walker. He walks everyday now. He says its so painful, but also feels great to accomplish so much. He actually also pushed himself up off of the floor.
If any of you would still like to donate, they could still use anything anyone wants to give. He won't be able to work for quite some time, and workman's comp only covers 75% of his former salary. He and his family greatly appreciate everything you've done for them so far, it's amazing. People who attended the European tour, thanks so much for your generosity."
