"In regards to the situation with Hot Topic, there was an issue with them and our record distributor. HT unfortunately will not be carrying our record on release day. We are very upset about this. Hot Topic has been our partner since "Take This to Your Grave". We support our friends at HT and their decision to not stock the record for the time being even though this is a very disappointing situation for us and our fans who shop at Hot Topic. However, they will still be the exclusive carrier for a whole new line of approved Fall Out Boy t-shirts and merchandise. In the mean time we hope the situation between HT and our record distributor gets resolved soon. It is out of our hands but we are doing everything in our power to rectify the situation."

I'm wondering why HT chose not to carry the album because as Pete said HT has been a partner of FOB since "Take This To Your Grave" I'm very disappointed because I almost only shop at HT and I wanted to pre-order the new album there....

that sucks. And it's pretty weird... I need to be a loser and go do research on why they're not carrying it... well... i guess I'll have to buy it at target...

They aren't carrying it because FOB 's record company made a pre sale agreement with AEROPOSTALE! yeah cause AERO is so rock n' roll. They basically went behind HT's back. HT was supposed to have exclusive pre-sale not AERO. So with that news, HT decided to pull their pre sale and almost pulled merch too, but they like the band and dont want to hurt them so they are keeping all of the FOB merch.
