From Autumn to Ashes or FATA is a post hardcore band from Long Island. The band mixes melody with hardcore styles, and their albums occasionally feature Melanie Wills of the band One True Thing on vocals, as well as their own vocalists, Ben Perri and Fran (Francis) Mark.

Discography - Latest Album
It is the second album on the record label, Vagrant. The album shows a slight departure from the traditional "From Autumn to Ashes" sound. The CD has an increased focus on drummer/vocalist, Francis Mark. The lyrics on this album also differ from previous releases in that there is a shift towards lighter more hopeful lyrics. However, the album retains traditional "From Autumn To Ashes" style in its contrasting of harsh and loud sounds versus lighter melodies. Contrary to their previous two albums, Melanie Wills of One True Thing is absent on this release.

you people make me laugh, emo is a type of music and thats how it started and
then people went just a bit overboard with it, and now people think it means
"other" things and im sure it does, but the proper thing is a type of
music; emo.
