Message from Eron..

"Its been about a week since the end of the Nintendo Fusion Tour.  Normally I would get to this right after the tour ended, but I decided to relax a little and catch up on sleep first.  We would like to thank all of the bands, Relient K, Emery, The Plain White T's and The Sleeping for being part of the tour.  Without them, the tour would not have been nearly as good or fun!  We also want to thank all of our fans for coming out and making the tour the biggest headlining tour we've ever done!  You are what keeps us going and make us want to continue writing and playing music no matter what.  Lastly, we'd like to thank Nintendo for having us be a part of the tour this year and sticking by us when we dropped a lawsuit on our label right before the start of the tour!

Now that the thank you's are out of the way...we got back from the tour and I'd honestly be lying if I said I wasn't excited to be home.  Don't get me wrong, I love touring, but we haven't really had time off in three years and now we have about three months off!  Aside from spending some much needed time at home, we're going to continue working on our new album.

We already have 8 songs written and I can't wait to write more.  I'm not going to say these songs are better than anything we've ever done before or they're "different", because that seems almost cliche these days and I'm proud of everything we've written (even the songs I don't like to play live).  We've pushed ourselves to explore new things, but the songs are still very much Hawthorne Heights songs and don't represent us attempting to turn into a completely different band.  Our new songs are further expansions of what we have done in the past.  They reflect the growth we've made since our last album but there's an added cohesiveness in these new songs that I think can only be related to our recent self-reflection, uncertainty of our future and the general ups and downs one goes through in times of struggle.

I will say that when I listen to our new songs I get the same feeling that I got after listening to some of my favorite songs on our last two records.  I suppose that's a good sign.  We'll be updating you a bunch on the progress of our new record over the course of the next few months.

On our lawsuit front: last week the judge said we could terminate our license with Victory for just cause.  As such, our lawsuit is not over per Victory's previous claims a couple of weeks ago.  Back to square one..."
